Wirra Wirra Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
The palate is vibrant and finely detailed, brimming with fresh blackberries and blueberries, lifted by subtle notes of cardamom, nutmeg and dark chocolate. These flavours are framed by a gentle dusting of cedar oak and powdery tannins, giving the wine both drive and finesse.
The fruit is sourced from a single section of a contoured block at 225 metres elevation on the north facing slope of the Hickinbotham Vineyard in Clarendon. Ancient soils of silt, ironstone and clay provide excellent drainage and naturally restrict vine vigour, contributing to concentration and purity.
The wine was matured for 13 months in a combination of French oak hogsheads and barriques, with 15 percent new oak and the balance in seasoned barrels, adding complexity while preserving fruit vibrancy.
