Te Mata Dinner Sydney February 26th 2026 6.30pm
Some wineries represent a region. A select few define it. Te Mata belongs to that second group. As one of New Zealand’s oldest family owned estates, its history is woven into the fabric of Hawke’s Bay itself. More than a century of tradition, vision and craft has shaped wines that have become benchmarks across the Southern Hemisphere. This dinner is our way of celebrating that legacy and bringing it to life here in Sydney.
Te Mata’s story is one of persistence. Generations of custodians have worked the same pieces of land, refining the style, nurturing old vines and creating a body of work that speaks with a clear voice. These wines carry the past, the present and the future of the estate in equal measure. They reflect a philosophy built on patience, balance and an unwavering respect for the land. Pouring them together in a focused setting gives guests a chance to step into that narrative.
For this reason, the evening has been designed on a more personal scale. Only a small number of guests will take their seats at Antica Dining, a room chosen for its warmth, detail and ability to create a sense of occasion without losing intimacy. This allows each wine to unfold naturally, with space to breathe and evolve through the meal. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, shaped for genuine conversation and thoughtful enjoyment rather than formality.
The menu has been created to sit quietly beside the wines. Antica’s elegant, ingredient focused cooking is the perfect frame. Each course is built around clarity and flavour, giving the wines room to express themselves and encouraging that slow, reflective pacing that makes nights like this memorable.
