Chandon Vintage Brut 2018
Embracing the warmth of the season, the 2018 vintage achieves a beautiful balance between freshness and complexity taking you on a captivating sensorial journey. Aromas of zesty lemon verbena and rich cumquat marmalade intertwine with subtle hints of toasted sourdough, revealing the wine's elegant structure. On the palate, the finesse of Pinot Noir dances forth with notes of white peach and a touch of plum, while Chardonnay contributes a splash of grapefruit zest for a vibrant, crisp acidity. Subtle nuances of nougat and marshmallow emerge as the wine breathes, whispering of its aging potential and evolving complexity like the deepening of bonds over time. With its dry, lingering finish and soft acidity, Vintage Brut 2018 offers a harmonious expression of its vintage—celebrating generosity through persistent flavour while remaining true to its cooler climate legacy.
Méthode traditionnelle with 5 years age on lees contributes to a creamy texture and layers of complexity. Fruit comes from our esteemed Whitlands vineyard with 850m elevation and red soil which, along with our mountainous Strathbogie vineyard at 600m elevation, contributing to tight acidity and purity of fruit. A small amount from other prestigious regions is blended for complexity.
