Produced from Shiraz, Campbells entry level Empire Tawny, has a deep brick red colour, with ripe spicy Shiraz fruit, berry aromas, and complex oak. The wine was fermented on skins until the desired sweetness level was reached and then drained and fortified. A lengthy maturation in small oak casks ensures further development. This Tawny is blended and bottled for immediate enjoyment, and is best served with blue cheese, rich desserts and coffee.
